November 2017 Bucket list

november 2017 bucket list

it’s November people.

November 2017 is here. One month closer to Christmas. The time of year of Christma gift guide, Christmas bakes and makes and everything festive. Halloween has past and Holly and Mauled wine are on their way. I love Christmas. The close has gone back, the nights are getting darker earlier the heating will soon be going on. It isn’t raining at the moment, the weather is crisp and fresh and just the way I like it.

How did we get on with October 2017 bucket list

October 2017 bucket list

  • Make Krispie monster treats – We made rice Krispie monsters. They turned out great and the kids loved making them. Even if I did forget to take a picture before they were all demolished.
  • Go trick or treating – This year we decided not to go trick or treating. Even though the kids took some persuading. BG1 had a school trip on Halloween so we got home a lot later than we would usually. So instead we opted for dressing up and handing out sweets, buying a takeaway and watching Halloween movies in the warmth of the house.
  • continue to post once a week I have not been posting once a week this month I have missed a week or so, not so good. But do have a few great reviews coming this way shortly.
  • finish my cross stitch elfBooo!!!! I haven’t finished my cross stitch. I’m not sure how people can cross stick for a long period of time it puts a strain on my eyes.
  • Finish a wire wrap necklace – I finished my wire wrap pendant at least, it wasn’t the best it looked wonky and I wasn’t too happy with it but practice makes perfect I guess.
  • Finish my felted fairy – I haven’t finished the fairy either. Instead, I have been creating more watercolours and hammered copper bangles. I just have to keep trying new things even if the others don’t get finished.
  • Finish another chapter of my story – Another chapter down and moving onto the next one.
  • Start preparing for Christmas – it’s official, I have started my Christmas shopping.

NOvember 2017 bucket list

  • Write another chapter. I will get this book finished!
  • Try more wire wrapping.
  • Practice hand lettering worthy of instagram.
  • Make more hammered jewellery.
  • Finish xmas shopping
  • Find a new course to try

October 2017 Bucket List

october 2017 bucket list

It’s October!!!!

The fall is here, the leaves are turning golden and falling from the tree. The weather has been quite mild and I have yet to get out my thick winter coat yet. We have seen a few days of rain but the sun still shines through. I am set for a busy next few months getting prepared for Christmas. My favourite time of year. Is it wrong to want to listen to Christmas songs already?

We had a rather short bucket list for September 2017 so how did we do?

September 2017 Bucket List

  • Write 250 words a day on my story. The one I have been writing for a while now and spend more time re-reading it than actually writing it. I didn’t quite get 250 words written every day, however, I did get another chapter done.
  • Celebrate BG2s second birthday. Poor BG2 was poorly for her birthday so we didn’t get to go to soft play but she did enjoy her new presents and had a lovely day.
  • Practice felting – my new craft I want to learn. I have started a felting project, and wire wrapped jewellery and cross stitch. I have been busy crafting this month and hope to continue
  • Continue posting at least one blog post a week!! I have posted one post each week since writing my September bucket list which is a good start.

October 2017 bucket list

  • Make krispie monster treats
  • Go trick or treating
  • continue to post once a week
  • finish my cross stitch elf
  • Finish a wire wrap necklace
  • Finish my felted fairy
  • Finish another chapter of my story
  • Start preparing for Christmas

Again this month is fairly simple to complete. We will just be finishing off already started projects. Simple right?

September 2017 Bucket List

September 2017 bucket list

We are nearly two week into September 2017, and i feel this may have been the fastest year of them all. Maybe it’s because the kids are getting older – no maybe about it. Sometimes i feel like i don’t have time for anything, but then again maybe it’s just i am not motivated to do much lately.

Talking about motivation i have been to the gym. I have only been twice so far but i am looking forward to getting fit once again. I bout a Fitbit and now the kids are back to school can focus a little more at getting my steps in.

It was a little more difficult to figure out what i wanted to achieve from my September 2017 bucket list especially when we are already a third of the way through the month but here goes.

September 2017 Bucket List

  • Write 250 words a day on my story. The one i have been writing for a while now and spend more time re reading it than actually writing it.
  • Celebrate BG2s second birthday
  • Practice felting – my new craft i want to learn.
  • Continue posting at least one blog post a week!!

Its a short list this month but most definitely an achievable list. Next month is October and Halloween! so i will be making my bucket list early in time for the holiday. Then look out people Christmas will well and truly be on its way.

June 2017 bucket list

june 2017 bucket list

I say it every month, and I think this was the worst month of them all. It went so fast. It may have been due to the fact I was working two jobs this month as I was finishing my previous job and started my new job before I had finished. But it went so fast.

I seem to be getting worse and worse at completing these bucket lists, even when I give myself easy ones to complete.

How we got on with May 2017 Bucket List

  • Start a skillshare course I didn’t do a skillshare course. But I have every intension of signing up and completing some. I did however get some paintings created which was a plus.
  • plant some flowers We did plant some flowers, we have pink dahlia’s and some other pink flowers that I don’t know what they are called now growing in the garden.
  • wash the windows I did was the French doors in the living room, but the bedroom ones are untouched and really need cleaning ready for the summer
  • Have an alcoholic drink over the bank holiday! YEs really an alcoholic one. I didn’t have a drink on the bank holiday, I worked all the bank holiday at the bar instead.
  • kill some bloomin flies that keep entering my house! Flies got well and truly swatted!
  • create my first surface pattern design I attempted a few mess arounds but nothing I actually like at the moment.
  • finish the current book I am reading. I haven’t done any of my own reading. So I didn’t finish my book however I did get many kids books read.

June 2017 Bucket List

  • Prepare for the Summer holidays
  • Paint more with watercolours
  • Have a picnic/BBQ in the garden
  • Take more pictures
  • Sort out BG2’s bedroom

What have you got planned for this June?

May 2017 bucket list

May 2017 bucket list

Whoa whoa whoa! Hold the phone, and put down the biscuits I have just realised. Not only did I not do an April bucket list which would have contained Easter and chocolate goodness but I have yet to post a May one too. This is unacceptable and should be rectified immediately.

Quick round up of April.

If I did have an April to do list this is what it would have looked like.

  • Decorate for Easter. – We didn’t get as festive as I would have liked. I worked all Easter weekend and it really didn’t feel like Easter at all. The only decorating we had was an Easter plaque and a bunny bunting.
  • Have an Easter egg hunt – The kids loved their Easter egg hunt and I enjoy watching their little faces trying to find all the eggs.
  • Make Easter Bonnets. – We didn’t get round to making Easter bonnets this time round as I was working a lot during the holiday. But the kids didn’t mind.
  • Tidy the garden- We did tidy the garden and the lawn is soon to be laid. It will be ready in time for the summer holidays.

So here we go a tad late but better late than never

May 2017 bucket list

  • Start a skillshare course
  • plant some flowers
  • wash the windows
  • Have an alcoholic drink over the bank holiday! YEs really an alcoholic one.
  • kill some bloomin flies that keep entering my house!
  • create my first surface pattern design
  • finish the current book I am reading

What does your May look like?

March 2017 Bucket list

march 2017 bucket list

March,March,March. Easter is just around the corner. Mother’s day is edging closer and BG1 turns 8.

This month yet again is set to be a busy month.

So how did we get on with our February 2017 bucket list.

February 2017 Bucket List

  • Home date night for valentines day. One marked off February list! The hubby bought me a silver rose that I could keep forever and shopping trip with my sister. I had instructions not to come home until I had bought something for myself. A bag, pair of shoes, underwear, and 3 tops later I arrived home to a home cooked 3 course meal. It was beautiful. Not bad going Hubby.

February 2017 Bucket list

February 2017 bucket list

It’s February people!!!! The month were love is in the air. At first I was gong to say wow January seemed to be like a very long month, but then I realised that I did nothing in January. Apart from work, sleep and eat. No wonder it dragged on.

How did we get on with…….

January 2017 bucket list

  • Buy the kids bunk bed & move LM & BG1 into the same room. I am a little in shock, we actually completed this one. We bought a lovely bunk bed and now BG1 & LM are sharing a room. Look out for a post on the bunk beds soon.
  • Move BG2 out of our bedroom and into a room of her own (not sure this will happen just yet I am quite attached to having her in our room.) This did not happen. The bunk beds took a while to arrive and we have yet to sort through the smaller bedroom for her to move in to. Not that I am complaining.
  • Lose 6lb’s. I haven’t weighed myself so I don’t know if this has happened. In all honesty I don’t feel like I have lost 6lb however I am eating a little bit healthier and have started Jillian Michaels kick boxing dvd. Which I swear she is trying to kill me every time I put it on!
  • Make a list of jobs that need completing around the house. oooo I am excited, this is another one I have done and it is a long list. Look out for an up to date To Do list soon.
  • Buy BG1’s Birthday Presents. January we are on a roll. All set and ready for BG1’s B’Day beginning of March.
  • That reminds me buy the mother in law a birthday present – she turns 50 in February. Ordered and on it’s way, good job too cos her b’day is this week.
  • Eat healthier. I have been eating a little bit healthier. I haven’t skipped breakfast and lunch and have eaten more fruit and veg but I think I could do better.
  • Get reading with the kids. BG1 has been reading her many books she got for Christmas, including starting the Harry Potter series. LM and I have been setting up our little routine before bed with a short book. We are currently making our way through his collection of the Large family he go for Christmas.

What’s on our….

  • Home date night for valentines day.
  • Go Cinema to watch 50 shades!!!
  • Put down wood flooring in the hallway
  • Clean out small bedroom for BG2 to move into.
  • Try something new (anything!)

Let’s not forget the year bucket list!

2017 bucket list

I have been reading Donna’s blog What the red head for quite sometime now and I love the way she does her bucket lists. Making a list of things her and her family would like to do and achieve for that year. It means no time scale on any such thing and then once you have completed an item you cross it of the list. So I have done a years bucket list in addition to my regular bucket list.

  • a night away with the hubby
  • girlie night at the cinema
  • date night We had a date night  this month and went to a Chinese restaurant. It was lovely. I love using chopsticks. The hubby can’t use them so I also got to make fun of him.

December 2016 bucket list

december 2016 bucket list

Were has November gone! What happened, did I sleep through the entire month because I don’t have a clue how we got to December so fast! One minute I was writing about October and Halloween and now Christmas is just a few weeks away. November has been a blur and nothing much has gotten done that includes housework, blog posts and goals.

I wish these months would go slower but since returning to work at the end of September the months are flying by and I am struggling to keep up with what day and month it is.

Before we find out what’s on the December 2016 bucket list how did we get on with Novembers bucket list?

  • Reach 2000 twitter followers. It may be a push but I think I can do it. I said it would be a push and it really was. My Twitter is currently sat just over 1.5K followers and it hasn’t moved much all month. Probably because I really need a kick up the A***e and start engaging a bit more. I did join in with a twitter party this month which was a first for me. I had stayed clear from them because I wasn’t sure what it involved, however I was really intrigued by the subject so gave it ago. It was lovely when I found out I had won a £25 gift voucher so was well worth joining in.
  • Reach 250 likes on facebook. Maybe. So close yet so far, I reached 220 likes this month so I am not too dissappinted.
  • BOOK THE PANTO!!! Yay!!! I finally completed one!!! We are booked in for the panto a few days before Christmas, we have our favourite seats and can’t wait.
  • Make a Christmas decoration on the sewing machine. I didn’t make any decorations on the sewing machine this month, I did however start making paper origami decorations and PomPoms ready to make a Christmas garland so that’s a start. I just hope the get finished in time for Christmas.

December 2016 bucket list – Christmas

  • Make mince pie muffins. Last year I made around 100 muffins for family. I don’t need that many this year but I do have seven jars of mincemeat to use up.
  • Wrap the Christmas presents before Christmas Eve. Each year the hubby and I would sit down on Christmas Eve wrapping the kids presents. Last year we were up until half past one wrapping! Not this year, we have an extra child to wrap for this year, I will be wrapping before Christmas Eve.
  • Bake Christmas biscuits & Mince pies with the kids
  • Make Paper chains and Paper Christmas hats with the kids
  • Go Walking around the town looking at Christmas lights.
  • Deliver Christmas gifts.
  • Read Christmas stories to the kids
  • Watch Christmas movies
  • Have fun with the Scout Elves that stay at our house each year. (Yes we do Elf on the shelf)
  • Celebrate the Hubby’s 30th Birthday
  • Put the Christmas decorations up after LM’s Birthday

Long list this month, but it’s Christmas it’s always a busy time of year. What’s on your Christmas Bucket list?
