The Weekend’s seem to be going by so fast lately, we barely get a look in to something new. Lm had a party on Saturday and it practically took up the entire day.
We did however manage to get out for the afternoon on Sunday. We took our usual stroll to Asda and the shopping centre. This is our usual walk at the weekend and also a day or two during the week.
The kids have a bit of freedom to run ahead slightly, and there are plenty of trees, and plants to look at – although we usually end up spending more than we had planned on.
We took the compact camera so the kids can take some photos on the way. This is new for us. We are planning to take the camera with us as often as possible in case a good photo opportunity arises. The kids love taking their photos so I want to encourage them to do it more often.
BG2 needed a sports kit for her sports day, as this year they are doing country flags and she is Portugal. We were unsuccessful at finding what we needed however we still spent just as much.
On the way home the kids enjoyed walking around the Value house choosing flowers to plant in the garden.
I found this extremely hard to choose mine. There were so many to choose from, I did narrow it to some beautiful Gerbera’s however, I then had the dilemma of Fuscia pink or Fire truck red. I ended up with the red, and plan on getting the pink one next week.
We also picked out a couple of photo albums for the kids to put their favourite pictures they have taken in.
On the way home it decided to rain. Not unusual in Devon, starts off nice and then goes down hill line was not going to dry today.
let’s get planting
Once we got home and had some lunch, we set about planting our flowers. The kids love planting flowers and getting dirty in the mud.
To end the day before the kids went to bed we decided that we would make some multi coloured crayons ready for drawing tomorrow.
